Ever since the innovation of the first airplane, there has been no looking back for this industry. It is evident from the majestic technological advancements the aircraft business has made in terms of its speed, structure, and comfort. While the commercial and passenger aircraft continue to amaze as well as serve the people, they are the “private jets” which make it to the exclusive category. It is an asset that wealthy intellectuals and business people like to possess. A resource that saves your travel time considerably and even offers the all-important ‘lavish comfort’ is a desire of every millionaire. Cessna, Gulfstream, and Dassault are among the few giants competing to manufacture the fastest private jet. Rightfully, some of the models from these companies do make it in the top 10 list presented below.

#1- Cessna Citation X+:

Manufactured by Textron Aviation, this carrier leads the list because of its maximum speed of Mach 0.935 (1,145 kph or 623 knots). It comes with two dual-channel FADEC-controlled Rolls-Royce turbo engines. The avionics for this jet is the Honeywell Primus 2000 system and has five 7×8 inch CRT screens. The structure of the airframe includes an area-ruled fuselage for effective transonic flight. Barring the pilot and co-pilot, it has space for a maximum of 8 passengers and a load capacity of 36,000 lbs. You need to spend $23 million to own the fastest private jet.

#2- Gulfstream G650:

The second fastest private jet in the world is bigger than the leader and has a capacity of 18 passengers with 1-2 crew members. Manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, this jet can deliver the maximum speed of Mach 0.925 (1,134 kph or 616 knots). The metal fuselage is oval-shaped to provide a falter lower portion. It has an outstanding load capacity of 99,600 lbs and is powered by two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines. This ultimately results in a hike in the cost as the jet is marked at $53 million.

#3- Cessna Citation X:

The top speed for this aircraft is marked at Mach 0.92 (1,127 kph or 613 knots), slightly less than its later version. The engines, avionics, and airframe remain the same as citation X+, but the passenger capacity is increased to 13. It claims a maximum travel range of 2,890 nm. The dual-hydraulic systems manage the power control for redundancy. Like the X+ version, this cost of this jet is $23 million due to high production costs.

#4- Dassault Falcon 7X:

Fourth in the list of the best private jets is the Falcon 7X manufactured by Dassault Aviation. It operates at a maximum speed of Mach 0.90 (1,102 kph or 600 knots). It is a three-engine cantilever monoplane with a low-positioned highly swept wing and a maximum travel range of 5,950 nm. Double-slotted Fowler flaps are used to improve the aerodynamics of the jet further. It has room for 13 passengers and two crew members, whereas the take-off weight is marked at 70,000 lbs. The latest market price for Falcon 7X is $54 million.

#5- Gulfstream G650ER:

The fifth-fastest private jet of the world has the highest travel range of 7,500 nm. It operates at the same speed as Falcon 7X with Mach 0.90, but the take-off weight is 10,300 lbs. Even if the wing design, the cabin management system, and the fuselage are similar to G650, this version is powered by two Rolls-Royce BR725 A1-12 engines. This jet has an auto-throttle system incorporated in it. This jet comes marked with an average price of $27 million.

#6- Bombardier Global 6000:

The third model from Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in the list is designed to reach the speed of Mach 0.885 (1,084 kph or 590 knots). It can carry 19 passengers. However, the take-off weight is as low as 9,100 lbs. It is compensated with a remarkable travel range of 6,750 nm. Two FADEC-controlled BR710 C4-11 Rolls-Royce engines power it. The price for the seventh-fastest private jet in the world is $62 million.

#8- Dassault Falcon 2000LX:
